Lafayette Christian cruised to a win on the second day of a back-to-back, beating CGAA 13-3.

The Cougar offense was rolling all night and never showed signs of slowing down with the game hitting the run rule after five innings. LCS put together innings with three, two, four, one and three runs respectively, scoring in every inning played on the afternoon.

Senior Braden Firth was simply sensational on the night and carried the load offensively for the Cougars. He finished the game going 2-for-3 with four RBIs, two runs scored and a walk. Firth also earned the win for his showing on the mound, pitching three innings and not allowing a single hit on five strikeouts.

He was not the only Cougar who impressed at the plate, as Landon Childree went 2-for-2 with an RBI. Dustin Ogle finished with a hit and an RBI to lead off the order for Lafayette Christian. Cody Bastini finished the game with a hit and a run scored. Bastini got some relief work but did not have his usual stuff in his one and two-thirds innings on the mound.

Lafayette Christian has now rattled off two wins in a row after starting the season with a tough loss to improve to 2-1. The Cougars will be back in action on Friday away to Rock Springs.
