No. 2/3 LaGrange College set for first home series with rare meeting with Rose-Hulman

LAGRANGE, Ga. – No. 2/3 LaGrange (3-1, 0-0 CCS) baseball comes in in midseason form as they host their first home series of the year when Rose-Hulman (0-0, 0-0 HCAC) opens their season at the friendly confines of Cleaveland Field in Williamson Stadium from February 25-26. First pitch of a doubleheader on Saturday, February 25 is set for 2 p.m. with the teams set to close the set at that same time on Sunday, February 26.
The Panthers have posted wins over No. 21/24 East Texas Baptist (5-0 on 2/17), Millsaps (7-3 on 2/19) and Emory (15-4 on 2/22) in their first four games with the only loss coming to No. 4/4 Birmingham-Southern (9-5 on 2/18). The Fightin’ Engineers come into the season following a 28-13 campaign in 2022 that saw them fall in the championship series of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC).
SERIES HISTORY
LaGrange and RHIT have met just once in the program’s history, that coming more than 20 years ago as the Panthers picked up an 8-4 victory in 2002 in Terre Haute, Indiana.
