Troup County has already had three tornadoes in 2023, and there’s a chance for more severe weather on Friday.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has Troup County under a slight chance for severe weather, which is 2 out of 5 on the severe weather scale.

“The main threats will be wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour and an isolated tornado or two,” the NWS Peachtree City wrote on its social media pages.

Although it may rain in the morning and lunch hours, it appears the worst of the weather is likely to hit Friday afternoon.
