Callaway had no problems staying undefeated in region play on Monday, easing past Towers 16-0 in just three innings of play.

The Cavaliers bombarded Towers with 13 runs in the first followed by another three in the second.

Callaway got quality offensive performances from up and down its roster. CJ Stephens hit from the leadoff spot and went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI to continue his hot start to the season. He was one of two Cavaliers to hit a triple in the game with the other being Bryce Hubbard, who also had a clinical night on offense, going 2-for-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Blake Sheppard went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Landon Alsobrook was 2-for-3 with three runs scored and two RBIs.

Julian Dukes and Houston Wilson each went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI. Garrett Huckleberry had a hit and a run scored while Dylan Nation had an RBI.

Huckleberry got the start on the mound and pitched all three innings, allowing just one hit on two strikeouts.

Callaway is now 9-3 on the season and 4-0 in region play. The Cavaliers will host Eagle’s Landing in a big region clash at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
