Every March the Azalea Storytelling Festival delivers, bringing in locals and people from out of town.
This year was no different.
The 27th annual festival was held this past weekend featuring storytellers Donald Davis, Adam Booth, Dolores Hydock and the Rev. Robert Jones.
More than 1,500 people attended overall, some coming from states like Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
Our guests for the laughs and the good time, and hopefully stick around, eat a meal or two, stay at a hotel, buy a tank of gas, head back home and tell everyone how much fun they had in LaGrange.
We talked to several people who attend the storytelling festival every year, and they always have a great time. Donald Davis, a renowned storyteller, has really created an engaged audience that comes back year after year to not only hear him but also to hear whoever else is part of the show.
The storytelling festival is a tradition that continues to deliver, not only with smiles and giggles, but also for our community overall. We applaud and thank everyone who plays a hand in organizing it every year.
