Mr. Cary Moses Delaney was born Sept. 15, 1954, to the late Curry and Rose Lee Delaney in LaGrange, Troup County, Georgia.

He united with Smyrna Baptist Church, graduated from Troup High School, and retired from the City of LaGrange.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene; four children:  Antonio (Keisha) Newton, Lakesha Newton (Noel), Shemika Richey, and Nathaniel Newton; eleven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four brothers: Curry (Anita) Delaney, Hosea (Judy) Delaney, Johnny Williams, and Jimmy Williams; two sisters:  Rose (Willie) Reese and Fannie Mae Kimbrough; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 

The service will be Friday at 2 P.M. at Smyrna Baptist Church.

The excellent care of Mr. Delaney is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
