Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Lafayette Christian could not get much going against Rock Springs, losing 10-0 on Monday. After having two games canceled last week due to inclement weather, the Cougars returned to action for the first time in nearly a week and saw their five game winning streak snapped in the process.

Rock Springs jumped out to an early lead, scoring three runs in the first and another four runs in the second inning to take a commanding early lead. As Rock Springs continued to add to its lead, the Cougars were not able to find any answers and chip into the lead, accumulating only three hits in the game — two from David Karvelas and one from Braden Firth.

The Cougars offense was not helped but their defense committed four errors in the game.

Paul Batastini, Whitt Bowden and Dalton Colquett all saw time on the mound but could not find any answers for the Rock Springs offense.

Lafayette Christian fell to 5-2 on the season. The Cougars will be back on the diamond on Friday at home against New Creation.
