Kenneth D. Rearden, Jr., 60, of West Point, GA passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

Kenneth was born May 6, 1962 in Langdale, AL, son of Kenneth D. Rearden, Sr. and Annette Britt Rearden.  He was a member of First Christian Church in Lanett, AL.  Kenneth was an avid Braves fan and achieved his Black Belt in Karate.  He was retired from the Georgia State Patrol as a Master Trooper after 30 years of service and also received the Troup County Trooper of the Year award in 2003.

In addition to his parents, Ken is survived by his wife, Donna Rearden; daughter, Jacie Thompkins (Zachary); grandchildren, Jordan Thompkins and Mason Thompkins; brother, Joey Rearden (Michelle); nephews, Rhett Rearden, Cren Rearden, and Sam Rearden; mother-in-law, Patricia Williams; brother-in-law, Neal Williams; and numerous extended family members.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA with Pastor David Bradshaw officiating.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Lanett, AL.  The gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to First Christian Church 312 1st Street, PO Box 452, Lanett, AL 36863 or West Georgia Hospice in memory of Kenneth D. Rearden Jr.
