Callaway bounced back in style after a tough loss last time out, beating McDonough 6-2 on Monday.
The Cavaliers were powered by freshman Rickey Vaughn whose incredible first year at Callaway continues with him scoring four goals and getting an assist. He has been a real game changer for the Cavaliers at the top of the pitch.
It was not the opening to the game that Callaway wanted, going down two goals in the opening 15 minutes on the road. The team found a way back into the game and had taken the lead by halftime.
Nelson Herrera continues to be the engine in the middle of the park for Callaway, scoring a goal and adding an assist to his tally on the night. Greyson Batchelor also finished the game with a goal while Jayden Bailey got himself on the scoresheet with an assist.
Callaway is now 8-5 on the season. The Cavaliers currently reside in third place in region 5-AA with a 2-2 record. Callaway will host Columbia for a region game and senior night on Tuesday.
