Grangers tennis dominates the Wildcats

The LaGrange boys and girls tennis had no problems handing Whitewater region losses on Wednesday. Both the boys and girls teams swept the Wildcats 5-0 with most of the Grangers never put under any real pressure. 

Girls Individual Results:

No. 1 Singles: SophieSophie Nix (LG) defeated Calynn Perkins (W) 8 – 3

No. 2 Singles: Lauren Burgess (LG) defeated Emma Oliver (W) 8 – 0

No. 3 Singles: Ana Rollings (LG) defeated Henriette Esken (W) 8 – 7 (7 – 0)

No. 1 Doubles: Abby Grace Kornek and Alisa Lee (LG) defeated April Kukec and Anika

Olson (W) 8 – 2

No. 2 Doubles: Minchae Kim and Anna Claire Lumpkin (LG) defeated Lacie Patrick and

Gabby Vick (W) 8 – 4

Boys Individual Results:

No. 1 Singles: Wesley Minicozzi (LG) defeated Zayden Leischner (W) 8 – 3

No. 2 Singles: Noah Black (LG)) defeated Cruz Toribio (W) 8 -4

No. 3 Singles: Henry Hurberdeau (LG) defeated Tyler Wendt (W) 8 – 0

No. 1 Doubles: Towson Partin and Kevin Park (LG) defeated Colin O’Brien and Corbin

Brock (W) 8 – 2

No. 2 Doubles: Benjamin Lee and Jaehan Seol (LG) defeated Owen Fye and Ethan

Hoellrich (W) 8 – 6

 

Unsurprisingly, both the boys and girls tennis teams for LaGrange have put together a strong season so far. The boys are now 14-4 on the season while the girls sit at 13-5. The Grangers will host Fayette County on Friday.
