National Weather Service releases preliminary report on EF-3 tornado that hit Troup County

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City has released preliminary information about the tornado that hit Troup County on Sunday morning.
The tornado was an EF-3, with estimated peak winds at 150 MPH. Its path was estimated at 20.65 miles.
The tornado started at 6:49 a.m. with an end time of 7:19 a.m., per the preliminary report, ending in Pine Mountain.
NWS said a boundary draped across Central Georgia served as the focal point for strong to severe thunderstorm development as a disturbance passed through the Southeast on Sunday.
Several supercells developed as a result.
