The Wild Animal Safari in Pine Mountain will reopen Saturday after being closed since a tornado struck the park on March 26.
The safari has been closed due to damage from a tornado that knocked down thousands of trees and resulted in the death of five animals.
The safari received national attention after two tigers briefly escaped their enclosure during the tornado. Both were tranquilized and are safe.
At a press conference following the tornado, park representatives had discussed a three-phase opening. Only the drive-thru section of the park will re-open Saturday. The walkthrough area, which received extensive damage, will open at a later date.
The park will open at 9 a.m. Saturday, according to Vanessa Reza, a representative for the park.
