On Saturday, Emberglow’s Spring Artisan Market will return for its third year in Downtown LaGrange. 

From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Ridley Avenue, this free-to-attend, extensive market will feature over 70 vendors consisting of handcrafted/handmade products, local makers, live art, artisan showcases, boutique goods, pottery, live music, food trucks, and more. 

Nikki Franklin, event organizer and owner of Emberglow, said the Spring Artisan Market has a special place in her heart ,and she’s excited to work with makers and entrepreneurs from all over Georgia. 

“Our spring market is a great place to find a wide range of new or unique products. Check out live demos from skilled artists, makers, and tradespeople, or just stop by to celebrate with our community,” Franklin said.

The market will feature live music from Sasha Hurtado and Devix (NBC Season 22, “The Voice”) Chase Tibbits, Kevin and Alison Wallace, Nick Mayfield and more. Street food will be offered from vendors Sweet Spot Baking Company, Turkey Hen & Fin, Mr. Holloway Pork Skins, Pate’s Pit BBQ, 360 Food Truck, and The Funnel Cake Guys. 

Other vendors will also carry baked goods, preserves, handmade items, and natural herbs — all from various artisan vendors. To accommodate the fair, Ridley Avenue will be open for access to the public parking deck near the courthouse. The intersection of W. Haralson Street will be closed to all-through traffic.

Thie event is sponsored by Visit LaGrange, The Mallory Agency, Downtown Development Authority, The Lafayette Lofts, Emberglow and Frios. 

Kathy Tilley, president of Visit LaGrange, said the organization is delighted to support the annual Spring Artisan Market. 

“Events like this are so important to help bring tourists to our city. Our visitors have loved the past two Spring Artisan Markets and are looking forward to this year,” Tilley said. “Tourism is important economic development for our city, and we are thrilled about this year’s line-up of Artisans.” 

Bill Hunnicutt, executive director of the Downtown LaGrange Development Authority, said thanks to Franklin’s vision and tireless effort to bring the Artisan Market to life, it has quickly become a community favorite.

“Creating a vibrant downtown is Downtown LaGrange Development Authority’s main focus, so we are thrilled whenever our downtown business owners join us in this cause,” Hunnicutt said. “We greatly appreciate the mayor’s and city council’s support of these downtown events, and from the citizen’s feedback we know that the community does too.”
