Mr. Elmer Williams, 87, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Florence Hand Home.

Mr. Williams was born June 4, 1935, in LaGrange, son of the late Hugh Milton Williams and Nancy Landers Williams. 

Raised in the Pine Hill Community of Randolph County, AL, he was a veteran of service in the U.S. Army, retired as a machinist from Uniroyal, Inc. after 30 years of service, and retired from West Georgia Medical Center after 20 years of service. 

He was a deacon of Living Waters Baptist Church, was an avid golfer, and loved to watch sports, especially the Braves and the Falcons. 

He enjoyed high school athletics and was a long-time supporter of Callaway High Basketball.

Survivors include his wife, Pamela Williams of Hogansville; son, Brian and Paula Williams of Brandon, MS; grandsons, Tyler Williams, Taylor Williams, and Trevor Williams of Brandon. 

He was preceded in death by his son, Myron J. Williams; and sisters, Ruth Pruitt, Elsie McCullars, and Clara Daniel.

The funeral was 4 P.M., Sunday, May 7, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home. 

Rev. Woody Woodard and Rev. S.T. Janney officiated and interment was in Myrtle Hill Cemetery, with military honors.
