The annual Geeter Panther Soccer Camp is making its triumphant return in less than a month’s time. The camp which has been run by Jeff Geeter for the last 30 years will enjoy its 31st annual camp.
The camp will run from Monday, June 26-Friday, June 30 at the LaGrange College soccer field.
Ages 5-8 year olds will be $60 per camper ($30 for each additional child from the same family) and the camp will run from Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Boys and girls from the ages 9-14 will also be active all five days but their times from 9 a.m – noon, and it will cost $90 per camper ($45 for each additional child from the same family).
Instruction will center on age-appropriate technical proficiency and tactical awareness through individual skill drills, game situations, and scrimmages. 5-6 year olds, 7-8 year olds, 9-10 year olds, and 11-14 year olds will be grouped together for training sessions. Parents may request their child be moved to an older age group.
The campers will get the chance to learn from Geeter, former head soccer coach at LaGrange College, as well as college and high school coaches and members of LaGrange College men’s and women’s varsity soccer teams.
The campers will receive a free shirt, but most importantly, all the campers should bring their own shin guards.
The deadline to assure a spot is June 23. Applications accepted until date of camp as space permits. Walk-ups will be taken on the mornings of camp as space permits.
