Mrs. Brenda Cowen, 68, of Montgomery, AL, formerly of Andalusia, AL, and Brewton, AL, passed away on June 2, 2023. Graveside services for Mrs. Cowen will be Friday, June 9, in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery at 3 P.M.

 Visitation for Mrs. Cowen will be one hour before service at Foreman funeral home.  

Mrs. Brenda was born in Andalusia on July 14, 1954. She graduated from Andalusia High School in 1972. 

Brenda was an avid animal lover and cared deeply for her cats and dogs. Brenda furthered her education and graduated from Troy University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Education. She enjoyed attending church and was a long-time member of the Church of Christ.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Janette Cowen; father, Elmer Cowen; and sister-in-law, Vickie White Cowen.

Mrs. Brenda is survived by her brother, Joe Cowen, and sister, Lynette Eakin. She is also survived by nieces, Jodi (Clay) Henley, Allison Atkisson, and Dana (Brian) Butler; nephews, Heath (Jennifer) Cowen and Trent Eakin.  She is also survived by her beloved dog, Aribus.
