Mrs. Eloise Lowery Thrower, 93, of Hogansville, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Thrower was born May 4, 1930, in Hogansville, daughter of the late Howard and Lorena Burdette Lowery. 

She was a military wife and lived in Japan and many locations in the United States during her late husband’s 33-year military career. 

She attended Highland Baptist Church, enjoyed crafts, and was very talented in oil painting and ceramics.

She is survived by her daughter and son in-law, Terese and Roger Pointer of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Thrower; and sisters, Dorothy Lowery and June Folds.

A memorial service will be 2 P.M., Saturday, June 17, at the graveside in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with Rev. Terry Rainwater officiating.

 The family will receive friends from 1 P.M. until 1:50 P.M., Saturday, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home.
