Jim Arrington has defeated Terry Stanford in the LaGrange City Council District 1 race.

Jim Arrington led Stanford 757 to 110 after early voting totals. According to the elections office, there were only 619 votes cast on Tuesday, meaning even if Stanford received every vote the remainder of the night, it would not make up the difference.
