Zona Voncile Edmondson Morman, age 81, of LaGrange, passed away on July 4, 2023. She was born on July 8,1941 to the late O.C. Edmondson and Frances Elaine Smith Edmondson in Troup County, Georgia. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Jo Morman, Sr.; brother, Richard Edmondson; in-laws, Rufus Morman (Lucy), Charles Arrington and Charlie F. Morman.
She was a retired marketing director from the Lagrange Mall. She was extremely passionate about her faith, family, and friends, and was a dedicated member of Baptist Tabernacle Church. She often enjoyed tuning in for Sunday Services and reading her bible. She also loved playing cards, crossword puzzles, online shopping and social media. Making people laugh was her favorite activity and her silly endeavors will forever be treasured by her friends and family. Her joyful spirit and smile will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her sons, Mickey Morman (Lisa) and Billy Jo Morman, Jr.; brother, Carl Edmondson (Edna); sister, Sharon Arrington; grandchildren, Jessica Moore (John), Trey Morman (Autumn), Rus and Molly Morman; great-grandchildren, Denise Morman; Cynthia, Faith and Zander Moore; nieces and nephews, Mike Arrington (Cassidy), David Arrington (Sabrina), Greg Arrington (Anne), Bobby Edmondson, (Kim), Todd Edmondson (Jackie); great nieces and nephews, Ally Greathouse (Colton), Chase Arrington, Hayden and Connor Arrington, Madison, Ava, and Hollis Arrington, Alex Johnson (Sam), Anda and Abby Edmondson, Sarah Kate and Mary Elizabeth Edmondson; great-great niece, Harlow Greathouse; in-laws, Algie (Debbie) Morman, Brenda Morman; aunt/best friend, Carolyn Henderson; extended family and friends.
The family will have visitation on Friday, July 7, 2023 at Baptist Tabernacle Church from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jimmy McMillian and Rev. Donnie Benefield officiating. Entombment will follow at Shadowlawn Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The Diabetes Association and/or Baptist Tabernacle Church.
