It almost sounds like the punchline of a joke. “What do Jeff Foxworthy, LeAnn Rimes, Nelly and The Commodores all have in common?”
We asked Google.
“It looks like there aren’t many great matches for your search,” the search engine said.
We asked Chat GPT, which actually gave us an incorrect response trying to say all four have competed on Dancing with the Stars over the years. Apparently, they haven’t, and the AI robot on our computer screen apologized.
Outside of being stars in their own rights, with well-established, successful careers, there’s almost no commonality between the four.
However, We can add one thing to that list. All four have performed at Sweetland Amphitheatre or will by the end of 2023.
The Sweetland team, headlined by Brent Gibbs, deserves all of the credit in the world for putting together a lineup that truly has to have someone for everyone.
Whether you’re a Baby Boomer or Generation X or a millennial, there are plenty of options in a genre of music you’re sure to like.
That’s what this community-focused amphitheatre should really be about — scheduling a diverse set of shows where everyone will have something to be excited about. They hit it out of the park in 2023.
The addition of Nelly was a huge surprise Wednesday, and we expect that show to be very popular when tickets go on sale Friday.
If you haven’t attended a show in 2023, we encourage you to do so. Artists like to see sold out shows and pay attention to the kind of crowds they get. Not to mention, bringing these artists here isn’t free.
The rest of the year promises to be an incredible year at the amphitheater. Don’t miss your chance to be there.
