Mr. Clarence Dennis Richardson, 84, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Wellstar West Georgia Hospice.

Mr. Richardson was born June 29, 1939, in Hoschton, Georgia, son of the late John David Richardson and Myrtie Grace McEver Richardson.

He was a 1960 graduate of Mercer University.  Mr. Richardson was a member of First United Methodist Church of LaGrange and a past member of the LaGrange Rotary Club.

He was employed with Milliken and Company for many years as Plant Manager of Calumet Mill, Elm City Mill, and Hillside Mill before retiring from Milliken Design Center as the Quality Control Director.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Sharon Williams Richardson.

Mr. Richardson is survived by his children, Ricky (Caroline) Richardson and Beth (Jimmy) Doerr; a niece who was considered another daughter, Jennifer (William) Bagwell; grandchildren, Abby Doerr, Sara Kate Doerr, Lizzie Doerr, Reid Doerr, Cece McCrary (Madhav), James Richardson, John (Brennan) Richardson, Emmaline Bagwell, and Will Bagwell; great grandchildren, Miles and Lila; nephews, Reid (Leighanne) Fallyer and Zach Nix; special friends, Nita and Jerry Overall and Sharon’s Bridge Club; all of the members of Pa’s Breakfast Club; and his black lab, Mae.

A private Memorial Service will be held at 11 A.M Wednesday, July 19, 2023, in the St. Andrew Chapel of First United Methodist Church of LaGrange.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to West Georgia Hospice or First United Methodist Church of LaGrange Children’s Ministry.
