Jackie Baugh was born on Sept. 2, 1948, in LaGrange, Georgia to the late Walter “Buck” Baugh and Mary Baugh. He was a 1970 graduate of Fort Valley State University and member of Burks Chapel United Methodist Church.

After a career in education, Jackie became a train conductor for Norfolk Southern Railway. Upon retirement from the railroad, Jackie served as a union representative where he advocated for his fellow rail workers.

Jackie is survived by his children Eboni Baugh and Elliott Baugh, and grandchildren Brody Baugh and Annabelle Baugh.

Jackie enjoyed traveling (visited 48 out of 50 states), spending time with family and friends, football, and listening to music. Most of all, Jackie loved gadgets and was always willing to teach people how to use technology.

He was dearly loved, admired, and will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made in Jackie’s honor to the West Georgia Fort Valley State University Alumni Chapter.
