LaGrange Police are investigating an incident where two men allegedly robbed a cab driver over the weekend.

On Saturday afternoon, at about 4:05 p.m., LaGrange Police responded to the 200 block of Hearthstone Drive in reference to reports of a robbery.

Officers arrived and met with a cab driver, who said he was giving two unidentified men a ride from LaGrange Mall. The victim told police that while on Hearthstone Drive, one of the subjects sitting in the rear grabbed him around the neck, and the other male then snatched his money from a Styrofoam cup from the cup holder of the cab.

The cup reportedly held $35 to $40 in cash in cash.

The victim told police that the men fled from the taxi on foot.

This incident is currently being investigated by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigations Section as a robbery by force.
