The fall season for the Troup County Parks and Recreation department is about to be underway. With the season on the doorstep, registration is underway and will close on August 11.

The department will be offering: 

Softball with coach pitch from ages 6-8 and live pitch for ages 9-11. Baseball for ages 7-8 and 9-11. Soccer in Hogansville from ages 4-9 and in LaGrange from ages 4-14. Football for ages 9, 9-10 and 11-12. Flag football will be offered  for ages 4-5 and 6-7. Volleyball will be offered from ages 11-15. Cheerleading will have five age groups — 4-5, 6-7, 8, 9-10, 11-12. All these sports will have a registration fee of $60. 

Cheerleading is also in need of coaching and anybody inquiring about volunteering for a role should contact 706-637-4427 for more information.

The department will also be offering tennis for ages 7-adult with classes in the evenings throughout the week. Registration is $90.

The parks and rec department is also partnered with First Tee Golf which offers classes for ages 5-14+ with registration set at $50 and can sign up at firstteetroupco.org.
