Mrs. Mable Thornton Sims passed away Friday. She was born Aug. 28, 1926, to Ahass and Rose Goode Thornton. 

Mable was employed as a cook at Plantation Restaurant, Highland Country Club and retired from City County Hospital.

She united with the Canaan Baptist Church.  She served faithfully until her health failed.

Survivors include 3 sons:  Grover Jr. (Mary), Billy Joe (Casseola), and Frank Lee; 8 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and an array of relatives.

The Service will be Saturday at 11 A.M. at Canaan Baptist Church. The excellent care of Mrs. Sims is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
