Mrs. Regina Noggle Darden, 91, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Darden was born Jan. 27, 1932, in Taliferro County in the town of Sharon, daughter of the late William Newton Noggle and Nina Eley Noggle. 

She lived in Manchester from 1974, until making her home in LaGrange in 1995, was a member of Loyd Presbyterian Church, and was a longtime member, choir director, and pianist of Greenville Presbyterian Church. She loved her church, enjoyed gardening, and served as a volunteer at Callaway Gardens for 35 years.

Survivors include her son and daughter in-law, Jeffery and Karen Darden of LaGrange; sister in-law, Shirley R. Noggle of Crawfordville; brother in-law, Harry and Carol Darden of Griffin; nephew, Dr. Joe Noggle, Jr. and his wife Pat of Demorest; nieces, Janice Callaway and her husband Larry of Rayle, Carrie Mitchell and her husband David of Griffin; great-nieces and great-nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hiram J. Darden, and brothers, William Mitchell Noggle and Joe Dillard Noggle.

Funeral services will be 11 A.M., Wednesday, Aug. 16, at the graveside in Sharon Cemetery in Taliaferro County, with Rev. Steve Tidwell officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M., Tuesday, at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home.
