William Henry Whitfield Jr. passed away peacefully in LaGrange, Georgia.

He was born on July 5, 1950, in LaGrange, Georgia to the late William Henry Whitfield, Sr. and Roberta Christine Towns Whitfield .

William graduated from East Depot Street High School in 1968; and LaGrange College in 1972.

While in LaGrange, William worked for both West Point Pepperrell and Milliken & Company. 

He later moved away, settling down to teach high school at the Department of Juvenile Justice in Washington County, Georgia.

Survivors include his siblings:  Carolyn Irene Thomas, Beverly Ann and Alfred McNair, Gary Neil and Morrissey Whitfield; an array of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, relatives, and friends.

Services will be Saturday at 11 A.M. in the Chapel of Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
