Four shot, one dead in shooting at LaGrange gas station

LaGrange Police are actively investigating a shooting incident a local business that left three people injured and one dead.

Laderek Ferguson, 22, was killed overnight in a shooting incident at a gas station in LaGrange. Three others were injured during the incident.

Late Wednesday night, around 11:50 p.m., LaGrange Police responded to gunshots heard near the 76 fuel station on New Franklin Road.

Officers arrived to find four subjects suffering from gunshot wounds, including the deceased victim who was determined to be deceased at the scene.

Three other victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment, two of whom have since been released. The other victim remains hospitalized in stable condition.

Police say the initial investigation has revealed that a verbal altercation occurred inside the business. One of the subjects then began shooting at the location and another subject inside the business returned fire striking a subject outside the location.

This incident is still under active investigation by the LaGrange Police Department Criminal Investigation Section.
