Callaway bashed its way past region foe McNair on Tuesday to earn a dominant 25-0 victory.

It was a breeze for the Cavaliers on the road, scoring seven runs in the top of the first inning to put the game to bed early. Not content with that lead, Callaway added 17 in the second and one run in the third to end the game after only three innings played.

The heart of the order was special for the Cavaliers on Tuesday. Senior Ava Shuford led the way, going 4-for-4 with six RBIs and four runs scored. She was just a home run short of hitting for a cycle.

Shuford was not alone in bashing every pitch that came their way, Kinley Smith was 3-for-3 with five RBIs and three runs scored.

Keira Trone had the only other multi-hit game for the Cavaliers, going 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Madison Kemp, Savannah Rice, Brianna Patillo, Lakyn Gatens, Kylah Harris and Mikayla Blankenship all had one hit each.

Despite not getting a hit Kaitlyn Williams reached base safely four times, scoring three runs and stealing three bases in the process.

Despite there being no shortage of offensive output from Callaway, the play on the mound was equally as impressive. Sophomore MacKenzie Toney threw a three-inning no-hitter with seven strikeouts to her name. She hit the first batter she faced, but locked in and did not allow a single base runner from then on.

Callaway is now 3-4 on the season and 2-0 in region play. The Cavaliers will have a non-region game against Troup at home on Wednesday before traveling to take on Columbia for a region showdown on Thursday.
