Mr. Glen Edward Leathers, age 48, of LaGrange, passed away on Sept. 13, 2023. 

Glen was born on Oct. 18, 1974, in Atlanta to Jack Douglas Leathers and Cynthia Keen Leathers. 

He found his calling in life as a Minister to children and served faithfully in that capacity at the First Baptist Church of Montgomery and most recently at the First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange.

Glen was a proud graduate of Auburn University and attended Southwestern Seminary as well. 

Glen had the privilege of serving the Lord through children’s ministry at churches in Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. 

Most of all, Glen was a devoted husband and father. 

He loved his family well and always brought a smile to everyone’s face.

Survivors in addition to his parents include his wife, Lisa Anne Metz Leathers; sons, Jack Marshall Leathers and Mason Glen Leathers; sister, Jamie Hardin (Michael); half-brother, Jay Leathers; half-sister, Sonya Leathers; other extended family, church families and friends.

A Memorial Service honoring his life will be held on Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, at 3 P.M. at the First Baptist Church on the Square in LaGrange with Pastor Jay Wolf officiating. 

Visitation will be held on from 2 P.M. to 3 P.M.at the church. 

Family interment services will be held at Whispering Hills Nature Preserve and Natural Green Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First Baptist Church on the Square Children’s Ministry, 100 Broad St, LaGrange, GA, United States, Georgia.
