Florence Marie (Adochio) Murphy, 93, went home to Heaven on Aug. 28, 2023. 

The wife of Harold L. Murphy of LaGrange, who passed away on the same date in 2010, Florence was born on Sept. 24, 1929, in Milltown, NJ to Mr. John & Mrs. Rose (Rispoli) Adochio. 

She graduated from New Brunswick High School in 1947, and was a woman of devout faith. 

After her marriage to Harold, Florence relocated to LaGrange and lived here as an active member of the community for many years, serving in the Pilot Club and the South Highland Presbyterian Church. 

She was pre-deceased by both parents, her husband, and brothers, James “Tars” Adochio, and John “Spike” Adochio. 

She is survived by her sisters and brothers, Angelina Barus, Judith LaPelosa, Robert Adochio (Patricia), and Joseph Adochio (Betty Jane); sons Ralph J. Murphy (Cynthia) of LaGrange, and John H. Murphy (Renee) of Preston, MN; grandchildren Leah Pierson D. Mallory Lefebvre (Craig) of LaGrange, Jack M. Murphy and Thomas H. Murphy, both of Preston, MN and two great grandchildren: Florence Elisabeth Childs Lefebvre and Jonah Craig Noel Lefebvre, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Florence was beloved by many and will be truly missed until we meet with her again in Heaven. 

A memorial service is planned to celebrate her life in Milltown, NJ on Oct. 21st.
