Gwinell Taylor Brown, of LaGrange, Georgia passed away on Sept. 19, 2023. 

She was born on April 30, 1930 to the late Roosevelt Taylor and Eunice Taylor in Clay County, Alabama. 

She graduated from LaGrange High School and was a member of First Baptist Church on the Square. Most recently worked as an Operator at Southern Bell Telephone & Telegraph Company. 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Artis Avery Brown; stepfather, Rosevelt “Rube” Smith; brothers, Joe Smith and Donald Smith; sisters, Wayner Knight, Geraldine Redden, Mary Beth Burnshill, Barbara Ann Railey.

Survivors include her children Terry Brown, Russ Brown, and Patricia Ann “Patsy” Brown McKay; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Pashel, Holley McKay, Rusty Brown, Ben Brown; great-grandchildren, Willow McDonald, Aubrey Martin, Stella Brown, Salem Brown, Slade Brown, Olivia Pashel; her Sunday School friends and church family; extended family and friends.

The family will have visitation on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at the First Baptist Church on the Square from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M.

 The funeral will begin at 11 A.M. with Rev. Paul Baxter and Rev. Paul Blair officiating.

 Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
