Mrs. Glenda Stewart Calhoun, age 80, of LaGrange, passed away on September 24, 2023.  Mrs. Calhoun was born on May 23, 1943 in Troup County, Georgia to the late George Stewart and Sybil Stephens Stewart.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Joel Dudley Stewart.  

She worked many years at Playtex and most recently at the Troup County Tag Office.  

She was a member of the Long Cane Baptist Church.  

Survivors include her husband, David Calhoun; daughter, Lisa Dianne Stewart; stepdaughter, Debbie Costley; sister, Gayla Dianne Boyd (Donald); grandchildren, Michelle Willingham and Marci Long (Josh); great-grandchildren, Riley Willingham, Brody Willingham, Mallory Long and Maddox Long; special friend, Diane Avery; extended family; grand-dogs, Keeper and Lexi.  

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at the Higgins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Geter officiating.  Interment will follow at the Shadowlawn Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Wednesday at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 p.m. Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter Allen Myhand, 706-884-5626.
