12-year-old killed in ATV accident in northern Troup County, three others injured

A 12-year-old boy died in an ATV accident Saturday where three others were injured.
The deceased victim was identified as Brody Lynch, 12, of LaGrange, according to Troup County Coroner Erin Hackley.
The Troup County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release that deputies responded to a residence on the 900 block of N. Stateline Road on Saturday around 6:34 p.m. While enroute to the location, it was relayed to those responding to the scene that a total of four patients were injured, including one with very serious injuries in a side by side, UTV accident.
Three of the patients were transported to a Columbus area hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries and one was transported to Well Star West Georgia Medical Center. Lynch received injuries that were fatal, and he was pronounced deceased.
Due to the serious nature of the accident, TCSO said Georgia State Patrol was requested to work the investigation. TCSO said it appears to be a tragic accident.
