A suspect has been arrested in a shooting that occurred on Buck Murphy Road on Tuesday. 

Christoher Pike, 31, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain crimes. 

According to a press release from the LPD, officers responded to a person shot at 110 Buck Murphy Road.  Upon arrival, officers located a 31-year-old victim laying in the roadway with a single gunshot wound to his knee. Medical aid was rendered at the scene and the victim was airlifted to Piedmont Hospital in Columbus for further treatment.  LPD said the victim was uncooperative with the investigation. Pike has been taken to the Troup County Jail.
