Callaway’s softball season reached its conclusion on Thursday with a 10-1 loss to Providence Christian in an elimination game in the state playoffs.

The Storm put tree runs past the Cavaliers in the top of the first inning and never looked back. Callaway answered with a run in the bottom of the first when Madison Kemp hit a sacrifice fly to bring a runner home.

The Cavaliers offense struggled from there as Savannah Rice had the only hit in the game for the team.

The Storm would eventually score seven runs in the top of the third to take a commanding 10-1 lead.

Kinley Smith, Bella Cleveland and Mackenzie Toney all saw time in the pitching circle for the Cavaliers.
