The LaGrange Academy cross-country season is nearing its conclusion, but not without the Warriors making some waves first. The Warriors competed in the region tournament at St. George’s on Thursday and came away with some medals.
The Warriors girls team finished first in the region while the boys finished second. Both qualified for the state meet that will take place at First Presbyterian Day School in Macon on Oct. 28.
On an individual level, seniors Anna Beth Kinnersley and Laura Knight finished first and third, respectively. Eighth-grader Gracie Nelson finished fourth.
For the boys, junior Owen Holstun finished third and Alex Jarvholm finished fourth overall.
The Warriors are led by head coach Ken Klinger.
