It’s that time of year again when the streets and sidewalks are filled with all types of ghosts, ghoulies, witches and tiny superheroes out scavenging for sweet treats.

Without fail every year around this time, someone asks the question: when is LaGrange doing Halloween trick-or-treating? Each year is the answer is the same, Halloween is on Halloween, Oct. 31. The City of LaGrange does not set a trick-or-treating date or time.

While the city does not set an official trick-or-treating day, some communities will decide on their own to do candy giveaways on the weekend when the holiday falls midweek but that’s still up for individual communities to decide. Even so, rest assured. Some will still offer trick-or-treat candy on the actual holiday.

For those looking for a more official Halloween event, several places have organized trick-or-treat gatherings or fall festivals leading up to Halloween, including Downtown LaGrange.
