There’s no evidence that shots were fired outside of Callaway Stadium on Friday night, according to the LaGrange Police Department Captain Eric Lohr, but whatever happened resulted in the LaGrange-Troup football game to be stopped for approximately half an hour.

Fans were running out of the stands a little before 9:30 p.m. in reaction to whatever was heard. It was unclear to a LaGrange Daily News reporter covering the game what happened. The reporter, who was inside the stadium, did not hear gunshots.

Lohr said one person was injured due to a trampling injury in the commotion and another person fainted.

The game resumed at approximately 10 p.m.
