Funeral services for Jan Sowles, age 87, of Rock Mills will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2023, at 1 P.M. CST at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with Bro. Fred Hart officiating.  

Burial will follow at Randolph Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from Noon until 1 P.M. CST on Wednesday before services begin.

Mrs. Sowles passed away Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at her residence.

Survivors include: two sons, David Webb (Cristina) of Roanoke and Kelly McLoughlin (Deborah) of Telico Plains, TN; five grandchildren, Robert Schult (Kim) and Kristina Koch (Nick Brown), George Porras, Fernando Porras, and JC Porras; five great-grandchildren, Audrey Pyle, Austin Pyle, Karen Porras, Louis Alonso Porras and Christopher Porras; and one sister, Sherry Schult of Texas.

A Buffalo, New York native, Mrs. Sowles was born on Nov. 4, 1936, the daughter of Robert Edwin Ringle, Sr., and Mary Margaret Mosley Ringle.  

She worked as a bookkeeper for Compact & Co. before retiring. 

 Mrs. Sowles was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Steve Sowles; and a sister, Sandra Banks.
