A man was arrested for aggravated assault after allegedly attempting to run over another man, followed by a couple of hours of tactical intervention to get him to surrender peacefully.

According to a LaGrange Police Department press release, Jeraud Ferguson attempted to strike another man with his vehicle Wednesday morning on Swason Street. Officers responded to the scene at 7:30 a.m. According to the press release, officers also spoke with another witness to the incident who confirmed Ferguson was driving aggressively and tried to run over Dudley.
