One person was killed in an accident on West Point Road at Lambert Road Thursday morning, according to the Troup County Coroner’s Office.

Deputy Coroner Amy Sheppard said there was one fatality and another patient transported to a Columbus hospital. The extent of that person’s injuries are unknown.

Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
