The Troup County School System has canceled school on Friday due to a severe weather threat that will impact the Southeast.

TCSS announced that decision to parents through its SendIt platform. TCSS said the worst of the weather is expected between noon and 6 p.m. All afterschool activities and athletics are also canceled for Friday.

All 240 day employees should report as normal.
