Mr. Kenneth T. Davie passed away Tuesday at his home in LaGrange, Georgia. 

A native of North Carolina, born in Gastonia, on July 16, 1938, and reared in Belmont, North Carolina by his parents John Wesley Davie and Carrie McKnight Davie.

Kenneth graduated from Reid High School and St. Augustine College in North Carolina. 

He joined Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia.  

While attending St. Augustine, Kenneth was initiated into his beloved Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. His teaching career began in Heard and Coweta counties.

 In his final tenure in the Coweta County School System before retirement, Kenneth served as Principal of the Coweta County Alternative School.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Torrice (Rufus Jr.), Emille (Gregg), Traci; stepchildren:  Valerie (Bryant) and Vaughn (Michelle); and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives, and friends.

The Service will be Thursday at Noon at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

The excellent care of Mr. Davie is being provided by Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home.
