The LaGrange girls basketball team saw its season end on Tuesday, falling to Trinity Christian 51-35.
The Grangers traded blows with the Lions early and only trailed 18-12 going to the second quarter.
LaGrange’s offense stalled out in the second quarter and the team could never recover even with their backs against the wall. By halftime, the Grangers saw the deficit balloon up to 38-14.
The second half was not much better for the Grangers as they could not find a way back into the game. LaGrange outscored Trinity Christian 12-2 in the final quarter but the game was already well out of reach.
Madisyn Booker did her best to lead the offensive charge and finished with a team-high 13 points. Ta’Niya Taylor was the next highest-scoring Granger with eight points.
LaGrange finished the season 4-17 in the first year under head coach Mike Pauley.
