LaGrange Academy struggled to get anything going in the final game of the regular season, losing to St. George’s 33-18.

It was an ugly showing for the Warriors, who put up just three points in the first quarter and it did not get much better from there. LaGrange Academy trailed 9-3 after one and 19-7 at halftime.

The defense did enough to keep them in the game, but the Warriors offense could never get going.

Senior Laura Knight carried the offense on her back and scored a whopping 16 of the team’s 18 points. The only other points by a Warrior was a two-point basket by fellow senior Anna Beth Kinnersley in the fourth quarter.

The reigning state champion Warriors wrap the regular season with a record of 8-1 after a slew of canceled games. LaGrange Academy now waits to see who its opening playoff opponent will be.
