The location of today’s special meeting of the LaGrange City Council has reverted back to council chambers at 208 Ridley Ave. where the council traditionally meets.

The change was made to allow for more seating.

The City of LaGrange has announced a special called meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 5:30 p.m. at city hall.

The meeting will be held in the third-floor conference room at city hall at 200 Ridley Avenue in LaGrange.

The purpose of the meeting is to consider the call for a special election. City officials would not confirm if the meeting was to call for an election to replace the late Willie T. Edmondson who passed away on Friday.

The meeting is being held at city hall rather than council chambers due to the municipal court schedule.

Attendees are asked to enter city hall through customer service, where staff will direct them to the conference room due to ongoing repairs at the front entrance.
