Man accused of pistol-whipping girlfriend

LaGrange Police are investigating a violent domestic incident where a woman was allegedly pistol-whipped and falsely imprisoned Wednesday morning.

On Feb. 28, around 6 a.m., officers with the LaGrange Police Department responded to the 200 block of Lukken Industrial Drive about reports of a domestic dispute.

Officers arrived and made contact with the female victim and the suspect Brandon Huntley.

Police say the subsequent investigation revealed that the victim had been struck several times with the butt of a pistol to the head by her boyfriend, Huntley, which caused substantial head injuries.

Huntley then allegedly detained the victim and refused to allow her to leave their residence while making multiple threats that he was going to kill her.

Huntley was taken into custody at the scene charged with aggravated assault – Family Violence Act (FVA) and false imprisonment – FVA.

The victim was transported to an out-of-town hospital for treatment.
