Joann Elizabeth Hall Pruitt, born Dec. 2nd, 1932, passed away on Feb. 28th, 2024. 

She was the wife of the late William Valentine Pruitt, Jr., and the daughter of the late John Reid and Mary Louise Allen Hall.

She is survived by her son, William Valentine Pruitt, III, a daughter and son-in-law, Kaye Pruitt White and Shane White, a grandson, John William White, all of La Grange. 

She is also survived by two step-grandchildren, Coe White of Nashville, TN, and Kellie White of La Grange. 

Mrs. Pruitt leaves behind her beloved dog, Susie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins.

Graveside services will be held March 3, 2024 at 3 P.M. at the Shadowlawn Cemetery, with the Reverend Kathleen Mattox of Tucker First United Methodist Church presiding. 

Visitation will be held at Higgins Funeral Home at Hunter-Allen-Myhand, 506 Hill Street, LaGrange, Georgia 30241, Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 5 P.M. until 7 P.M. to celebrate the life of Mrs. Pruitt.

Flowers will be accepted. 

Donations may also be made to Big Springs United Methodist Church, 2422 Lower Big Springs Road, LaGrange, Georgia, 30241, or the Georgia Sheriff’s Youth Home at Pineland, 2048 Youngs Mill Road, LaGrange, Georgia, 30241.
