Mr. Everett Scott Middlebrooks, 60, of Greer, SC, formerly of LaGrange, GA passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Greenville Memorial Hospital, Greenville, SC.

Mr. Middlebrooks was born September 6, 1963 in Stuttgart, Germany, son of the late Jesse Everett Middlebrooks and Margaret Delores “Loky” Middlebrooks. 

 He was a graduate of LaGrange College, receiving his MBA, and later in life he coached baseball at LaGrange College.  Mr. Middlebrooks worked in sports marketing throughout his career, working with many agencies and teams, during which time he worked with the Columbus Cottonmouths.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Leanna Middlebrooks; brother, John Middlebrooks (Misty) and their children, Tara and Jack; son, Drew Middlebrooks (fiancée, Emma Ingram); daughter, Meg Thompson (Tavin) and granddaughter, Merritt; son, Matt Middlebrooks; step-children, Collin Leach (Wendy) and Autumn Laviolette; and step-grandchildren, Madden Leach, Olivia Leach, Kyla Laviolette, Camo Laviolette, and Kenzley Laviolette.

The Celebration of Life service will be held 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2024 in the Chapel of Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange, GA.  The gathering of family and friends will be on Sunday from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
